The following is an excerpt from a marijuana legalization article from CNN.com:

Reps. William Lacy Clay, D-Missouri, and Barbara Lee, D-California, said that in addition to targeting nonviolent offenders, U.S. marijuana laws unfairly target African-Americans.

How does a law unfairly affect any one ethnic group in America?  Does the law say go search black people to see if they have weed?  I don’t think the law says that.

This might be stupidest thing I have seen in print ever.  I am not surprised though as it is coming from a bunch of Democrats.

If you want to decriminalize something because you want to be able to go home and smoke a bowl go ahead and say so, but to hide behind a comment like that is just ridiculous.

The article goes on to say that marijuana should be treated like alcohol and that as long as the use is responsible and it is not abused than it should be acceptable.  I am not here to debate the legalization of weed or not just to point out the stupid things that come from the mouths of our representatives.
