Daniel

Thanks for the advice. The CFT is going to be challenging at first but should become pretty easy once we have all done it a few times.

I ran this when we were testing it. Squats for sure. Obsticle course and MCMAP helps. Do sprints in boots. Shoulder raises and weighted runs.

Mike

Thank you for the information. I recently incorporated sprints into our PT and hopefully it will payoff. We run our first CFT Oct 24.

we did the cft this past weekend. i am in great shape and had great scores on all phases, however it was much more challenging than i originally thought it would be. the final phase, maneuvering under fire, was the hardest for me. i went from standing still with a relaxed pulse to sprinting and doing strenuous exercises for a couple minutes straight. if you are passing your pft's you should be fine, but i would recommend short sprints, maybe 10-20 seconds at a time just to acclimate yourself. good luck, and semper fi.

Congrat's on joining the Corps. As far as specific training tips for the CFT I do not know where to find these. What I can suggest however is that you develop a good overall fitness program that is both aerobic and anaerobic in nature. Good core strength and endurance will be needed in all training in the Marine Corps.
