Just In Case You Need More Reasons Not To Vote For Barry Obama
Barrack Obama has in many instances decided not to show respect to the Flag of the United States of America. Most of you out there have obviously noticed or heard that Obama has declined to wear a Flag lapel pin, and to be honest with you I have no problem with that. I do not consider the fact that he does not wear a lapel pin unpatriotic, I don’t wear a lapel pin when I wear a suit and I am not unpatriotic.
What I do find completely and totally revolting is that a man that want to be the leader of the free world will blatantly disregard the LAWS that are prescribed by Congress as well as Executive Orders about the proper respects to be given to the Flag when the Star Spangled Banner is played or when the Flag passes by. just read what those rules and regulations are:
Title 4 of the United States Code
During the ceremony of hoisting or lowering the flag or when the flag is passing in a parade or in review, all persons present except those in uniform should face the flag and stand at attention with the right hand over the heart. Those present in uniform should render the military salute. When not in uniform, men should remove their headdress with their right hand and hold it at the left shoulder, the hand being over the heart. Aliens should stand at attention. The salute to the flag in a moving column should be rendered at the moment the flag passes.
Title 36 United States Code
§ 301. National Anthem
During rendition of the national anthem when the flag is displayed, all present except those in uniform should stand at attention facing the flag with the right hand over the heart. Men not in uniform should remove their headdress with their right hand and hold it at the left shoulder, the hand being over the heart. Persons in uniform should render the military salute at the first note of the anthem and retain this position until the last note. When the flag is not displayed, those present should face toward the music and act in the same manner they would if the flag were displayed there.
How can a man be My or Your Commander in Chief if he cannot obey the laws that govern not only us in the uniform but all persons in this country. There are even provisions for aliens to stand at attention when the flag is raised or lowered. Obama won’t even do that he stands there with his hands in clasped in front of him at the waist.
I know that many service members have come out in support of Obama in fact our own SgtMaj of the Marine Corps in fact endorses Obama. I say this because both you and I both damn well know that SgtMaj would not let anyone on any Marine Corps installation get away with not showing the proper respect for his and our Colors. Title 36 is not a “law” in the criminal context and, regardless, the language used in the section you cite referring to the flag is not mandatory – e.g., the word “should” is used throughout, rather than “shall.”
At any rate, I see this post as little more than whipping up meaningless dissent, the same as you so apparently despise re the media and Sarah Palin. What’s your point, then?

NephiIf you read the bible you will also see the word shall as in Thou Shall not Kill, Thou Shall not covet thy neighbor’s wife etc etc. these are the 10 commandments and last time I checked that even though the word shall is used you are expected to follow them are face eternal damnation.Also I do not despise Sarah Palin I holeheartedly support her and Sen McCain’s pic of her as a running mate.
