The below “article” was received from a reader on my comments on the Barrack’s Immigration Policies.  I figured since the guy went out and did his research I would publish it as a separate post and not hide it in the comments section.  He asked for his name not to be revealed but I will let you know that he is a Sgt in the Marine Corps with 8 years of service.

300,000,000 people living in the US. 12,000,000 illegally with 700,000 more
each year and the number is growing. This is an increasing problem that we
have no cure for. Obama wants to give the 12 million and growing illegal
citizens amnesty. Before this happens there will most likely be a flood of
illegals into our country. After that there will likely be even more per
year do to our generosity. I do not see this as a plausible solution. I am
not opposed to legal immigration but in 2006 37.5 immigrants found homes in
the US. Good for them. How many more are we going to let in per year with
Obama’s policies though? Why not just open the borders up completely and
just have them line up for social security cards, the quicker we get to over
population the better. Then we will not have to worry about immigration of
any kind, there won’t be any room for them. Plus we would have no illegal
citizens.

Realistically we can not do anything about the 12 million illegals living in
the US why not give them amnesty. Then we do not have to worry about them
stealing social security numbers so they can get a job. We definitely need
to tighten up security on the borders first and more then what Obama is
talking about. Let’s just put the Marines on the borders I say. If you need
anymore reasons to be upset about this issue here is a fact. I have some
friends in Southern California. They had their first child 2 years ago. The
baby was healthy and no special care was needed yet it cost them $40,000.00.
I have another friend that works in a hospital in southern California. She
sees mothers come in from Mexico frequently just as they are about to give
birth. They get to go to a hospital in the US and they get it done for free.
Sure they are deported shortly after some just leave the infants here. Who
pays their bill?

Identity theft
Identity theft is associated with illegal immigrants who use social security
numbers <file:///wiki/Social_security_number>  that do not belong to them,
in order to obtain fake work documentation.

Drug smuggling
According to proceedings from a 1997 meeting of the House Judiciary
Subcommittee on Immigration and Claims
<file:///wiki/United_States_House_Judiciary_Subcommittee_on_Immigration,_Bor
der_Security,_and_Claims> , “Through other violations of our immigration
laws, Mexican drug cartels are able to extend their command and control into
the United States. Drug smuggling fosters, subsidizes, and is dependent upon
continued illegal immigration and alien smuggling.”

Gang violence
As of 2005, Operation Community Shield had detained nearly fourteen hundred
illegal immigrant <file:///wiki/Immigrant>  gang members.
Illegal entry <file:///wiki/Illegal_entry>  by eluding immigration officials
is a crime. Forging immigration documents
<file:///wiki/Identity_document_forgery>  is a crime. Residing in the United
States in violation of immigration law is not a crime but a civil
<file:///wiki/Civil_law_(common_law)>  infraction <file:///wiki/Infraction>
.[1] Various other unlawful immigration-related acts, depending on the
circumstances, may be criminal and/or civil offenses.
