Jarhead,

$60,000 bonus to me does NOT sound like it is enough. The risks are extremely high and I bet the pay scale is not all that great. BUT HEY, the adventure of living on the edge with an adrenalin high is priceless. Also, ulcers have a good chance to come with the territory which is a large goose egg. {Those are no fun--had one. UGGGGhhhhh!}

I am glad that you did choose the MOS that you did because I may have not had the chance to begin to know a great Marine. The chances of a KaBoooooom or an OOOOPppps in that OED are more likely to cause damage of the irrepairable type than one in the MOS that you are doing.

O-kay. Read the 3rd paragraph 3 times and it still did not make a whole lot of sense. I must be missing something since I am a civilian. In the line of work that I do there are no bonus in the manner that you are speaking of in that paragraph. Could you give me a bit of clarification so my OLD/dusty/itty-bitty brain can see the light of the day? If you can Thanks. If you can't....then don't loose any sleep over it because I will keep worring after it like a 'dog with a bone'. Maybe, I will be able to pick-it apart with time.

To a true Knight of Honor from a greatful Civilian --
THANK YOU for hearing the whispers of the Warriors of the Past as they called to the Warrior Blood that flows threw your veins
