Happy Turkey Day

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone out there.  Today is a day to sit on the couch and watch football all day.  Then get to the table and eat more food then you thought humanly possible.
I am thankful for a wonderful wife and kids that are healthy (although baby might have chicken pox not sure right now).

Easily Entertained

You know we Marines have a rap for being the not so brightest of the four services.  While this is a highly debatable accusation one thing can be said for certain.  All a Marine needs to be entertained is a bunch of rocks and an ammo can.  This will keep us entertained for hours.

Learn a New Language

As anyone knows knowing a second language can help you in your career.  Not only while in the Marine Corps bit also in a civilian atmosphere.  Most of us don’t have the time nor the money to learn a second langauge on our own.  The Marine Corps is trying to make it easier for those [...]

Is the CFT Fair?

Unless you have been hiding under a rock, UA, or are deaf and blind you have heard about the Combat Fitness Test which was recently implemented.  You might have even had the chance to run your first CFT unfortunately I haven’t got my first one in.

Early Release

Do you have an EAS between 19 Dec and 5 Jan?  If so you can get an early release form active duty.  Every year the Marine Corps allows personnel with and EAS during the Holidays.  MarAdmin 622/08 requires that Marines that apply for early release be stationed within the 50 united states.  Also the following [...]

LET THEM FAIL

I am getting so disgusted at our Government right now.  I am tired of politicians.  I am tired of people trying to make themselves and their party look good.  I am tired of all the bullshit that has come down in the past few months about bailing out corporate America.  I think it is downright [...]

Maybe He isn’t all Bad

While I still do not agree with President Elect Obama’s fiscal and monetary plans I have come to the realization that he might not be the anti-christ that I thought he was.  It seems that he has plans that will keep the US Military active in the War on Terrorism.
Now I know that he wants [...]
