Happy New Year
Hey everyone figured I would get in here and get my last post of the year up. This past week has been quite hectic starting with having to spend most of the day Christmas Eve in the courthouse babysitting one of my knuckleheads. Seems the idiot was in Wal-Mart with his girlfriend and she decided that she needed some costume jewelry and wouldn’t pay for it.
Christmas day was spent at the in-laws in which the kids made out like bandits and we had a great feast in the evening. Between opening presents and the feast I snacked and napped alot. On Friday I loaded up the clan and took off for my grandmother’s house up north for visiting with her as well as my sister and parents who came out for Christmas.
After a few days of visiting and eating it was time to come back down to Southern California. Unfortunately right before I left my dad and I noticed a tear in my back driver’s side tire. I already had a bulge in my front driver’s side tire so I figured I better get a couple tires so that I could make the 500 mile drive safely. I went down to Pep Boys and after looking at the rest of the tire I figured it was better to get 4 new tires. So $556 and two hours later we finally we got back on the road and headed back down.
My son will be arriving from Phoenix tomorrow and he will get his Christmas presents from me and the rest of the family. We will spend a few days runnin around and doing what dads and 7 year old boys do (pretty much driving my wife crazy).

HAPPY NEW YEAR JARHEAD !!!!!
YOU got out of Pep Boys in 2 hours. On my last visit[brakes on rear] I was there for at least 5 hours+. Sure would like to know how you talked them into only 2 hours.
The only time that Dads get to be a kid again is when they are doing what ‘Dads’ and 7-yr old or younger boys do. Face it Jarhead, that little boy that was you is still inside and all the ‘young’ kids can bring him out to play IF you let them.
Here’s a suggestion:
Give the wife ear plugs and a really good book and a bottle of nice smelling bubble bath, turn on the stero to some really soft and relaxing music, then lock her in the bathroom so the kids CAN NOT disturb her. Now grab the kids and disappear for a couple of hours or more. When you get back Mrs. Jarhead should be calm and HAPPY.
Enjoy all the Blessings of the New Year.
Place the Frustrations and Aggravations in a file marked 13 and put it in the usuall place.
Hold and Kiss Mrs. Jarhead a least a dozen times a day. {You can never do it enough when you truly care.}
Play with, hold onto and slurp-py kiss the kids as much as you can for they grow up so fast.
Best wishes to you and the family

Happy New Year to you and yours. Enjoy your son.
Nothing about Randy Johnson and the Giants? Maybe I will have to wait for spring training for your thoughts.
