Been a minute since I through something up so I figured I’d go with a quick funny. Here are some things you don’t want to hear in the Corps.
1. Private Saying ” I learned this in boot camp.”
2. Sergeant Saying “Trust me sir..”
3. 2nd Lt saying “In my experience..”
4. Capt saying “I was just thinking…”
5. Gunny chuckling “Watch this shit…”

My favorite — Gunny chuckling “Watch this shit…” and of course my immagination went wild at what that “shit” could have been.
Sargent saying “Trust me sir” reminded me of a boss that would always say at the start of a new job “a piece of cake…Trust me…would I lie to you”. and of course it was nothintg remotely close to a ‘piece of cake’.
You know the longer one live the more your 5 dangerous quotes are more of an everyday occurance.
Thanks for making my day happen with a little laughter and a walk around smile as I would remember those quotes.
