July Cutting Scores

The time has come once again for the Corps to promote the next batch of Non-Commissioned Officers (NCO’s). Today the Corps released cutting scores for the promotion to Cpl and Sgt. From looking at the scores for the guys in my shop it looks as though July is going to see the promotion of quite a few new Cpls and Sgts. For those of you still coming up short do what you can to increase your composite score. Congrats to those who made it and good luck to the rest.

Hello Jarhead,
Please pass my Congratulations and Job Well Done to all those in YOUR shop that have become Cpls and Sgts.
Please let them know that this is one civilian who gets it for I have taken the time to learn as much as I can about the Marines and Your Triditions. Therefore,I am very proud of them and as well as YOU in ALL THE EFFORTS that YOU and THEY are doing in order to Accomplish the Mission.

PS – Don’t forget a few extra buttons and needle with a spool of thread so all those buttons that got popped can be sewen back on.

Same goes for those in my shop, and more specifically, my MOS and the 2 others most closely related. July will be seeing the influx of 1/8th of all LCpls becoming Cpls and Cpls becoming Sgts for those 3 jobs. I for one am not complaining in the slightest, considering my time has finally come almost 3 years later to pin on my 3rd stripe, however, this is the biggest single month promotion our 3 MOS’ have seen in almost 8 years. I feel bad for all those that didn’t make the cut this month, because I have a strong feeling, that just as it did 8 years ago, the score is going to close out for the next year or so. Congrats to all those in all MOS’s that did make the cut! Oorah!

Sounds like you are in the same field as me. 8 years ago it was a clerical error that resulted in so many promotions. I hope that they don’t close out cuz one of my better Cpls and one of my better lances just missed it.
